Hosting and Distribution Policy

Hosting requires a documented basis

Open1320 does not treat “abandonware” as automatic permission to distribute a Game. A hosted build must have a recorded basis such as explicit permission, a license that permits hosting, a confirmed public-domain status, or another basis approved for the specific material.

Technical review

Before publication, Open1320 records the package hash, runtime, tested environment, compatibility result, known issues, network behavior, approval, and takedown contact. A historical Game page may be public even when its playable build is not approved for hosting.

External onboarding

When a community Project controls its own registration, community, or download process, Open1320 respects that route and does not bypass it. Direct links are shown only when permitted and appropriate.

Removal and takedown

A rights holder or authorized representative can contact Open1320 using the takedown address shown on this page. Identify the material, the relevant URL, the claimed rights, and a reliable contact method. Open1320 may disable access while a credible request is reviewed.

Preserving the record

Removing a hosted file does not require erasing the historical Game record or factual review history. Public notices should distinguish between historical documentation, community-project links, and files hosted directly by Open1320.
