Native ports and console preservation
Console Revivals
Follow original console racing games into recompilation, decompilation, reverse-engineering, compatibility, and archival projects built for modern systems.
From original hardware to modern systems
Console Revivals tracks racing games whose preservation path begins with dedicated console hardware and continues through native recompilation, decompilation and source ports, reverse-engineered engines, compatibility layers, emulator packages, or carefully documented archival work.
Recompilation is a Project, not a replacement history
The original Game record preserves release history, platform context, and why the title matters. The connected Project record documents the modern technical work: target systems, toolchain, build availability, original-data requirements, firmware needs, compatibility, known issues, and enhancements.
Different milestones remain visible
A Project can be valuable while it is still mapping code, reaching menus, entering gameplay, or preparing private test builds. Open1320 labels that progress plainly and does not describe research-stage work as a finished port.
Original data stays with the user when required
Some console-revival Projects require users to supply their own disc image, extracted files, firmware, or BIOS. Open1320 records those requirements and links to the Project’s legitimate build or onboarding instructions rather than distributing original game data through the directory.

Modern revival work
Recompilation and console-revival projects
Projects are listed with their current technical milestone and remain clearly labeled when they are still development samples.
No public console-revival Project yet
Create or edit a Project, choose a Revival method in Project Page Builder, connect its original Game, and publish it through the normal Open1320 workflow.
